Traffic Exchange Programs

Published by kyellis at 11:36 am under News Edit This

In my quest to discover how other posters get hundreds even thousands of hits on their posts, I’ve tried several things. It seems it’s a not so big secret that others keep close to the vest. If you check the “help” section of the web network you are writing for, it does not mention traffic exchange programs. This is a term I accidentally came across yesterday. Once I Googled the term, I found there were quite a few of them. So, I’m wondering is this the “Big Secret” to bringing hits to your blog? I also wondered, are most of these scammy sites that don’t really bring traffic to your page and just use you until you figure it out. Then, perhaps they just draw in the next sucker. Mean while you have spent a lot of time for nothing.

I supposed that there was no way of knowing so I just jumped in picked one. I went through a few and found that some required you to download programs to use their site. I really didn’t want to do that, then too the first traffic exchange program that didn’t require a download.

I signed up for “Click Voyager.” After clicking for some time, I don’t know how long as I worked on other things in between, I completed 140 clicks. This was supposed to give me 14 hits to my site. Now, as I check my numbers and where they came from, I’m wondering how I can even tell if I got hits because of this traffic exchange program. I am a bit suspicious because all of the sites I was asked to visit are very commercial with a lot of other traffic exchange program sites as well as “get rich quick” sites I’d never bother to look into anyway. But, I never visited any just “regular blog” sites. So, that seemed strange. Still no big numbers and I just can’t see where the 14 visits came to my site for sure. I’ll stay with them for a while and see what happens.

I just read this morning about another traffic exchange program called Entrecard. In the Today forum others are saying that it does draw traffic to their site. So, Entrecard it is. I’ll check them out next and report back.
