Obama Questions Palin
Sarah Palin has very little leadership or governmental experience nor does she have very much foreign travel experience or otherwise. This is simply a fact that cannot be disputed. However, Obama’s administration does question other statements produced from McCain’s people and by Sarah Palin, herself.
Palin did take a trip to Germany and Kuwait last year on a visit with our troops. Apparently she has also been to Mexico and Canada. So have I, wonder if I qualify for the job of vice president of the country.
Although, apparently, McCain’s camp had twice revised Palin’s trip to Iraq, Lt. Col. David Osborn, commander of the 3rd battalion, Alaska’s National Guard 207th Infantry said Sarah Palin did not cross into Iraq. Yet apparently McCain aides reported that she had been to a military outpost inside Iraq. Lt. Col. Osborn explained that a person has to have permission to enter Iraq. Does Palin’s entrance into Iraq make her a better candidate for the vice presidency?
The whole situation seems to just be silly. Who cares if she was there or not? However, Obama’s people must see this as just one more distortion of the truth that both McCain and Palin have taken part in since she was chosen by McCain as his running mate.
The biggest question would have to be their campaign slogan that they are for “change” following the same slogan as Obama. When McCain voted for 90% of President Bush’s policies in the past, it is hard to see him as making many changes in our country for the future. It’s seems to be Republican adage as usual, just tell the public what they want to hear. If we say it enough times, they will believe it as they aren’t very smart. We are the kings, we are the royalty, we are the ones with the “smarts.”
