Almond Fo-Anna Banana Smoothie

A great way to get your day started.

Ingredients

1 (8 oz) container of banana yogurt
1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges , drained and chopped
½ banana, sliced
¼ cup half-and-half cream
½ teaspoon almond extract

Directions

Combine all ingredients into a blender. Mix until smooth. Serves 2.

Try some of these excellent variations:

Replace the half-and-half cream with vanilla ice cream (low fat vanilla ice cream works well also.

Replace the almond extract with vanilla extract if you prefer.

If you like a thinner smoothie add some ice or milk (or low fat milk)

Try using different flavors of yogurt, raspberry, cherry, pineapple, etc.

Add this delicious Banana Nut English Muffin to your smoothie for a complete breakfast. Who says you can’t get kids to sit down for a nutritious breakfast.

Toast an English muffin, spread with peanut butter. Drizzle some raw honey over the peanut butter and add sliced bananas.
