Apple Cyclone (Smoothie)
Try this revitalizer instead of grabbing that latte on the way home from work. Whip up your smoothie and take a few quiet minutes to yourself while you enjoy it. Then you’ll be ready for the evening, whether that means fixing dinner for your family, helping children with homework or going out for the night.
Ingredients
1 golden delicious apple, diced
1 cup celery, chopped
1 small container vanilla yogurt
1 cup milk
Directions
Put all of the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.
Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with six inch celery stalk. Serves 2.
Make the Apple Cyclone for lunch and add a Whole Wheat Pita Salad.
Here’s how: slice a whole wheat pita in half. In a bowl add chopped tomatoes, spinach, orange bell peppers, red onions. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the salad. Squeeze half a lemon over it, season to taste and mix well. Fill your pita with the salad mixture and you have a completely healthy lunch.
